Clamerica

Cedar Key, Florida will be exploding on Sunday, July 4th when the 7th annual CLAMERICA Celebration brings thousands of clam lovers to this island community to enjoy their sweet and savory farm-raised clams.

Clamerica has been designated as a Top 20 Event in the Southeast for July 2010 by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Sponsored by the Cedar Key Aquaculture Association, the day will be filled with fun, food, and events for the whole family from 11 am to 7 pm at the City Park and Beach on 2nd Street. A featured event again this year is a Shellfish Sand Sculpture to be created by Suzanne Altamare a World Champion and Grand Master Sand Sculptor from Daytona Beach.

So bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a "down home" 4th of July party, but with a clammy theme. Stick around for fireworks hosted by City at dusk.

When: Sunday, July 4th, 2010 - 11AM - 7PM
Where: City Park and Beach (2nd & A Streets), Cedar Key, FL
