Artists Cooperative and Gallery.
The Cedar Keyhole Artist Co-Op was organized by local artists in 1977 to provide an outlet for creative people in Cedar Key and the surrounding areas. In 1994, Cathy Christie, owner of the building and co-founder of the co-op created the Cedar Key Arts Center and donated the building to this new organization. All items in the Cedar Keyhole are handcrafted and represent a broad range of both fine arts and fine crafts. At present, there are 35+ artists represented at the Keyhole, with mediums including paintings, pottery, glass, jewelry, fabric art, wood working & turning, metal work, photography, stepping stones, paper and recycled art, mosaics, linocuts, encuastics, pine needle baskets, stone carvings, dried flowers and zentangles, just to name a few. Newly created items are brought in daily, so there is always something new, different and interesting to discover at the Cedar Keyhole Artist Co_op. We are open daily from 10-5 seven days a week. We are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
