We were looking for a place to stay while we had work done on our camper in Ocala and so glad we found this place! We stayed in #2, and we're impressed as soon as we walked in. The air was set at 60 so it was cold, the room was immaculate and very well appointed with all ur dishes and items to cook with, all butcher top counters, a small kitchen table, coffee pot, a little convection oven, smart tv, small closet (no hangers but a couple shelves in there), and a nice bathroom. The bed was super comfy! I have major back issues and can't sleep on a firm mattress so it was perfect! The door lock has a code you are given on check in day, which allows you to open it at 3. We arrived early and since no one was moving out, they changed the lock to let us check in early. Both ladies I spoke with during our stay were very nice as well, smooth process and while they're not onsite, took care of everything by phone. It's about 2 miles to town, and alot of people walked in. We had our ebikes and had so much fun riding all around, over to the air strip, and all around the island. Beautiful! We had breakfast at Annie's one day and it was good with great service! You can still see some of the destruction from Helene, but there are still a good number of places to eat or drink. We didn't see any grocery stores, but there's a Marathon gas station that has anything you may have forgotten. The towels in the bathroom are plush, but bring a beach towel if you're going to beach at anytime. There's a sandy beach area by the park in town, as well as a fish cleaning station and outside shower station. We could hear some road noise, but not enough where it was any big deal and it pretty much ceased by 10 every night. My only complaint is that we were supposed to stay a week but had to change it to only 2 days😞 Hidden charm!
